Nice one! I didn't think I would see such an in-depth breakdown of shifting but you've really got most bases covered here.

I say most as there's one key part that has been missed out i.e. you don't need to use more than one bookmark to shift effectively.
Alt+# is a solid alternative choice as it means you're freed up from constantly re-assigning your forward bookmark(s) every time the location of the tanking battle changes slightly.

So by way of example, the 'full-back' sequence I always used myself was: W, select, shift+1, ctrl+1, alt+1, Q.

Assuming the majority of your tanks are in one location then it takes you right back to them and you can get stuck into the fight again.
It's only a bit crap when your group is spread out over a wider area as it will struggle to take you to the right spot and you need to correct with a bit of mouse scrolling.
Side benefits are that you can use your forward bookmark(s) for any purpose without hurting your Q'ing at all, and it also makes it easier to dual(triple!) tank as Alt+1, Q /Alt+2, Q etc. is super smooth.
